The 4th Annual Innovations in e-Learning Symposium will be held on June 3, 4 & 5, 2008 at George Mason University. The GMU Instructional Technology Program is issuing a Call for Presentations for individuals interested in presenting on one of following topics at this year’s symposium.

• Mobile Learning & Gaming
• Web 2.0 and Cyberinfrastructure
• Innovative Design & Research Partnerships
• Collaboration in a Virtual World

Please complete the Call for Presentations form and email it to Kelley Shillingburg, Office Manager, GMU Instructional Technology Program at kshillin@gmu.edu or fax it to (703) 993-2722 by February 28, 2008. Acceptance notifications will be sent to you by the end of March. Please note the following in creating your proposal:

1. All proposals must deal specifically with one of the following topics –Mobile Learning, Web 2.0 and Cyberinfrastructure, Innovative Design & Research Partnerships, and Collaboration in a Virtual World.
2. Each session will last approximately one hour.
3. Presenters should prepare for audiences of approximately 30-50 participants. Presenters should consider opportunities for audience involvement and participation throughout session.
4. Presenters will have the opportunity to determine the seating configuration in breakout rooms. Once a proposal has been accepted, presenter will receive information about room set-up and audiovisual requirements.
5. One complimentary registration fee will be given with each presentation. The registration fee for the two-day event includes an opening night reception, two continental breakfasts, two lunches, breaks, and parking.
