Call for Presentations

The 3rd Annual Innovations in e-Learning Symposium will be held on June 5, 6 & 7, 2007 at George Mason University. The GMU Instructional Technology Program is issuing a “Call for Presentations" for individuals interested in presenting on one of following topics at this year’s symposium.

  • Global e-Learning
  • Open Source
  • Social Software

Please complete the Call for Presentations Proposal form and email it to Kelley Shillingburg, Office Manager, GMU Instructional Technology Program at kshillin@gmu.edu or fax it to (703) 993-2722 by March 2, 2007. Acceptance notifications will be sent to you by the end of March. Please note the following in creating your proposal:

  1. All proposals must deal specifically with one of the following topics – Global e-Learning, Open Source, or Social Software.

  2. Each session will last approximately one hour.

  3. Presenters should prepare for audiences of approximately 30-50 participants.

  4. Presenters should consider opportunities for audience involvement and participation throughout session.

  5. Presenters will have the opportunity to determine the seating configuration in breakout rooms. Once a proposal has been accepted, presenter will receive information about room set-up and audiovisual requirements.

  6. One complimentary registration fee will be given with each presentation. The registration fee is $200 for the two-day event and includes an opening night reception, two continental breakfasts, two lunches, breaks, and parking.
